NOTE: Currently the Master Educator program is only available to EducateONE educators. We plan to open this up to the public in the future after achieving DEAC accreditation.

The Master Educator program is designed to have qualified educators learn at a postgraduate level an expertise in facilitating learning, as well as working towards earning a U.S. National Board Certification for teaching (NBPTS) and recognition as a Certified Higher Education Professional in Teaching or Online Teaching (CHEP).

Alignment with NBPTS

Since at EducateONE, we do not only focus on direct instruction that is generally implied by the word "teaching" but how we ensure learning through the best modality for the context of the student. As such, we expand the National Board Core Propositions to encompass all of educating as follows:

  1. Educators are committed to students and their learning
  2. Educators know and know how to facilitate the learning of the competencies that they are supporting students to learn.
  3. Educators are responsible for managing and monitoring student learning
  4. Educators think systematically about their practice and learn from experience for continual improvement
  5. Educators are members of learning communities

You can see how the NBPTS certifications align with EducateONE with our Crosswalk between EducateONE and NBPTS.

Alignment with CHEP

Our program recognizes the CHEP competency standards as those needed for all educators, which we have expanded to encompass all forms of educating:

  1. Plan the Facilitation of Learning
  2. Develop Clear Syllabi of Learning Activities
  3. Deliver Content Effectively to Develop Competencies
  4. Create Comfortable Learning Environments
  5. Engage Students in the Learning Process
  6. Implement Effective Learning Activities
  7. Support Diverse Learners
  8. Provide Experiential Learning Opportunities
  9. Model Appropriate Behavior
  10. Manage Student Behavior
  11. Implement Effective Assessments
