Note: This program is not yet offered at the secondary level. But our volunteer educators may earn their Master Educator certification.
The Educator Diploma trajectory will prepare students for work as an educator. We follow EducateONE's Educator Education standards, to prepare students for facilitating next generation learning. This learning stack embraces AI, but only for where it is appropriate, and how to reduce generative AI's current issues with producing misinformation (so called "hallucinations").
Competencies
You will develop sufficient competencies to be prepared to do educational work for a next generation education provider, such as EducateONE, other forward-thinking school, or ed tech company in the following topics:
- Aim of Education
- Belief Systems that Underpin Education Paradigms
- Content/Competencies for Students to Lear
- Delivery/Development of the Content/Competencies
- Evaluating (Assessing) Student Learning
- Feedback Provided to Student for Growth
- Requirements to Graduate from a Level
Developing Your Competencies
The following learning activities will be used to develop each of these competencies:
- Participate in individualized competency cubes that are "taught" by a GPTeacher.
- Participate in simulated work activities in each of these topics
- Contribute to EducateONE to build a portfolio of work to prove your capabilities to employers
